We want our families to be informed about the various costs that come with Cub Scouts and Pack 97. We cannot anticipate every expense that may arise, but this list has been built over time to help you plan ahead.
On the other hand, we never want a financial constraint to stand between a child and Cub Scouting. If your family encounters that situation, please contact our Treasurer or your den leader to make confidential arrangements to ensure your Scout can participate. Financial assistance is also available through the Capitol Area Council.
For New Members
There are some initial costs that apply to all new youth members.

Including these initial costs, all Required Items below, and a Class B t-shirt, the initial investment is $231.
If cost is an issue for the uniform, please contact our leadership team. The Capitol Area Council is determined to make scouting available to all interested youth, and they can provide uniform assistance for scouts in-need.
Required Items
These items are recurring annual costs for participation in Pack 97. They apply to all new and returning youth members.

In addition, Pack 97 participates in two fundraising campaigns each year, popcorn sales and Friends of Scouting. An additional fee applies if you choose not to participate.
