COUNCIL EVENT

Come out to Smilin V Scout Ranch for a day filled with Water Rockets, Rocket Club Demos, Kite Building and Flying.

Where: Smilin V Scout Ranch

When: Sept 21st, 2024. Check in opens at 8:30 and activities begin at 9am. Event runs until 3:45pm.

What: During this event youth will launch rockets of different types, build and fly their own kite, have time at the BB and Archery ranges and complete Champions of Nature Cub Adventures. Participants should bring a sack lunch.

How Much: $35 per youth participant/ $10 for each parent/caring adult

Hello young Padawans, to Tom Wooten you should come!

Bring your lightsaber and come dressed for Jedi training. Padawans from across our council will be meeting to practice their skills, complete work up to 5 adventures, practice their aim with BB, archery, and sling shot, and learn about space and life on different planets.

Where: Camp Tom Wooten in Bastrop, TX

When: October 19, 2024. Check in opens at 8:30 and activities begin at 9am. Event runs until 3:45pm.

What: During this event youth will learn about the solar system, make glow lanterns and bird feeders, and have the opportunity to fish and shoot BB, archery, and slingshot. Participants should bring a sack lunch.

How Much: $35 per youth participant/ $10 for each parent/caring adult

There are also optional courses, including Chaplain Training, Swimming and Water Rescue, Paddle Craft Safety, and more.

The Scouts BSA annually celebrates its founding on Feb. 8. Scout Sunday is always the Sunday preceding Feb. 8, unless the 8th is a Sunday, in which case the 8th would be Scout Sunday. The NCCS has compiled resources regarding the celebration of Scout Sunday in the parish.

After registering, you may change classes online or at event check-in as long as the class has space.
